Residence registration must be completed within 24 hours after your arrival and check-in.
• If you will stay at a hotel, please register at the front desk of the hotel.
• If you won’t stay at a hotel, please register at the nearby police station. To register, you should go with your landlord and take your passport and rental contract. The landlord should take his or her ID card and housing ownership certificate.
If you live on campus or near campus, you can register your accommodation at the PKU Police Office:

Notes:
• If you don’t register withe the police, then you may end up with a fine of RMB 200/day.
• After registering with the police, you will receive an accommodation registration form, which you will need for your residence permit application at the Exit and Entry Bureau.
Please renew the registration form if there are any changes in your passport, visa, address, etc.
